MEYER NEPTUN Engineering, based in Rostock, is a start-up and the Meyer Group’s new competence center for green solutions on the blue oceans. We develop special purpose ships, research innovative forms of propulsion and create sustainable solutions.

Apply now as an System Engineer (m/f/d) for large-scale plants and schemes

The idea of participating in the basic design of mechanical engineering systems, supply and disposal systems of a ship inspires you. Whether fuel, water or fire protection systems, you develop the technical concepts, create specifications, coordinate interfaces and coordinate with the stakeholders involved. In your area of expertise, you will focus on the following focal points:

  • Development of concepts for mechanical assemblies (e.g. cooling water, boiler scheme)
  • Creation of the basic design of complex assemblies
  • Support of complex assemblies & enginieering tasks
  • Development of project studies for Sales & Design
  • Support in the preparation of shipbuilding specifications
  • Professional support of designers, technical draftsmen and external design offices
  • Representation of the department for a project with regard to technical feasibility and preliminary planning

You master negotiations with suppliers, customers and classification societies eloquently and confidently. You communicate proactively, act solution-oriented and also meet these requirements:

  • Diploma – Engineer / Master or Bachelor of Engineering
  • Several years of professional experience
  • CATIA/CAD skills
  • Business fluent English and German
  • Communication and teamwork skills
  • Independent work, as well as flexibility and resilience
