Cranes, hatches and landing decks inspire you. Defining the outer appearance of our special ships, the compilation of technical specifications, the coordination of interfaces as well as discussions with all involved stakeholders are activities you find exciting. In your area of expertise, you will focus on the following key areas:

  • Technical design of shipbuilding equipment components
  • Coordination of interfaces to neighboring subject areas
  • Development of assemblies or components
  • Scheduling and technical control of design work
  • Technical negotiations with suppliers, customers, class and the purchasing department
  • Exercising the function of technical project manager
  • Reporting and controlling of suppliers and own work
  • Responsibility of material and weight budgets as well as the drawing list
  • Technical supervision of cross-thematic work within the vessel

You master the coordination with suppliers, customer and class eloquently and confidently. In doing so, you communicate proactively, act in a solution-oriented manner and meet the following requirements:

  • degree in engineering or comparable discipline
  • professional experience in the field of shipbuilding equipment
  • good knowledge of the market situation for shipbuilding equipment
  • extensive knowledge of the shipbuilding design process
  • experience in the technical purchasing process
  • knowledge of modern CAD systems (preferably CATIA)
  • business fluent English and German
  • commitment, flexibility and ability to work under pressure
  • planning and structured work combined with a strict adherence to schedules
  • ability to work in a team
