MEYER NEPTUN Engineering, based in Rostock, is a start-up and the Meyer Group’s new competence center for green solutions on the blue oceans. We develop special purpose ships, research innovative forms of propulsion and create sustainable solutions.

As a specialist, you will investigate ship theory issues in detail. From early design to delivery, you will be involved in exciting projects of MEYER NEPTUN Engineering. You are familiar with NAPA and other special software. In your area of expertise, you will focus on the following key areas:
- Intact stability calculation;
- Definition of watertight subdivision
- Weight estimation and control
- Design and optimization of ship shape
- Hydrodynamic calculations
- Supervision of model tests
- Stability issues
- Negotiations with customers, suppliers, class and authorities
As expert in your discipline, you will always consider the overall ship. A close cooperation with the general arrangement team as well as a constant exchange with the other specialist departments is part of your daily routine. You master the regular contact with class, customers or other contact persons with confidence. You communicate proactively, act in a solution-oriented manner and meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in shipbuilding
- Several years of experience in dealing with ship theoretical issues
- Very good knowledge of national and international regulations
- Extensive understanding of the interrelationships in ship design
- Good knowledge of common design software
- Business fluent English and German
- Willingness, flexibility and ability to work under pressure
- Planning and structured work
- Ability to work in a team
