MEYER NEPTUN Engineering, based in Rostock, is a start-up and the Meyer Group’s new competence center for green solutions on the blue oceans. We develop special purpose ships, research innovative forms of propulsion and create sustainable solutions.

Do you find special ships electrifying? With your experience in the field of power generation and distribution on newbuildings, you will become part of our electrical team. In your field of expertise, you will focus on the following key areas:
- Preparation and ongoing processing of electrical load balances for new ships
- Development of power distribution concepts for new ships
- Preparation of the basic design for the arrangement of cable routes and switchgears
- Coordination of system suppliers in your field of expertise
- Negotiations and technical coordination in cooperation with the purchasing department, the customer
- the classification society and the suppliers
- Supervision of detailed planning
You master negotiations with suppliers on complex power generation and switchgear systems with confidence and technical expertise. You communicate proactively, act in a solution-oriented manner and also meet these requirements:
- Engineering degree with a focus on electrical engineering or state-certified technician with several years of
- professional experience
- Several years of professional experience in the field of power generation and distribution
- CAD knowledge
- Business fluent in English and German
- Communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Ability to work independently as well as flexibility and resilience
